Storm in a Teacup

Yes, deadlines have a habit of creating that.

The art of managing deadlines is prioritization. A skill students must be introduced to in school from the time (at least) they learn to pronounce it.

  1. Important and urgent. Essential
    • Time allotment 5 %
  2. Important but not urgent. Necessity
    • Time allotment 75%
  3. Urgent but not important. Distractions
    • Time allotment 15%
  4. Not urgent and not important. Procrastination
    • Time allotment 5%

It is terribly easy to get caught in the 25%. Brew the tea and not the storm.

I have two kinds of problems, the urgent and the important. The urgent are not important, and the important are never urgent.”
