High School Career Planning
The last years of school life are full of academic activity for any student. Understanding their goals and aspirations, making right subject selection and getting university ready are some of the challenges that any student will face. Given the time available, it is critical that students are guided well, their aspirations understood and an individualised careers plan developed to suit their individual needs, talents, interests and values.
Many research studies point out that 3 out of 5 students on an average contemplate changing their subjects and streams one year into their undergrad studies. Wrong career choice and the anxiety that follows, can be best avoided with correct and comprehensive planning during high school years.
The journey starts with a meeting with the parent and the student to understand the student's talents, background and interests. Through few tests, we try and identify what kind of a learner the student is, their personality traits, areas of personality and academic improvement etc. This interaction helps us formulate a plan for the student’s journey. We revisit the plan periodically to access student achievement and modify the same to cater to the student's specific needs as they evolve with us.
